About Me
Hi everyone,

I’m Kayla, an editorial portrait and fashion photographer currently in my third year of studying BA Photography at the University of Greater Manchester. I am a finalist in the 'London Camera Exchange' Photographer of the Year, in the Portrait category. The winner will be chosen in March on the Sunday of the Photography and Video Show 2026, at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

My work is focused on capturing personality and narrative, whether I’m working with models, designers, or creatives from the cosplay community. I specialise in portraiture, with a strong emphasis on storytelling through styling, composition, and connection with the subject.

Alongside my academic work, I’ve developed a practice that blends my love for fashion photography with my passion for cosplay. I regularly organise and shoot editorial-style sessions with cosplayers in studio environments, at conventions, and on location. These shoots allow me to explore themes of identity, transformation, and self-expression while also building strong creative collaborations.

Fashion photography is another key focus of mine. I’m drawn to the artistry behind clothing and design, and I find real fulfilment in creating imagery that highlights the detail, emotion, and intent behind each piece. I love working closely with designers and stylists to bring their vision to life in a visually compelling way.
